Main Street Dance Academy is fun for children of all ages and operated in a very professional manner. Lindsay is incredibly kind and sensitive to everyone’s needs. She chooses age-appropriate music and attire for the children, as well as FABULOUS costumes for the recitals. The student teachers are a tremendous asset in mentoring the younger children. Choosing Main Street Dance Academy was the right choice for our daughter.

We have a 23-year relationship with Main Street Dance Academy. My daughters started dancing at the Academy at the age of three. Dance improved their balance, gave them confidence, while enhancing their memorization skills. They continued to dance through high school. The instruction they received was instrumental in them securing a spot with the Princeton High School Pom Pon Squad. Both girls were members of the squad all 4 years of high school. Both girls have done a variety of choreography for plays, choir ensembles and Pom Pons. Their accomplishments are attributed to the Main Street Dance Academy.
XXMy oldest daughter, Torri continued to pursue dance after high school and received her associate’s degree with an emphasis in dance from Illinois Central College in Peoria. While in Peoria she was a member of the Tazwood Dance Company. She then transferred to Millikin University in Decatur majoring in Elementary Education while continuing to take dance classes. She developed a strong interest and love for dance while at Main Street Dance.

My middle daughter, Paige has a very strong bond with Miss Lindsay. Miss Lindsay is a dear friend and confidant. My daughter has an interest in pursing dance at Elmhurst College in the fall by trying out for the Elmhurst Dance Team.

Main Street Dance has helped me develop those little girls into exceptional young ladies. I would highly recommend Miss Lindsay and her staff. This is a great place for your children to develop strength in a variety of areas and to make lasting friendships.-Debbie Harrison

My daughter began dancing with the Main Street Dance Academy when she was 5 years old. That was nearly 10 years ago and over those years I have watched her grow, not only in stature but in confidence, gracefulness and overall happiness. She has learned so much, not just about dance routines but about being part of a team and about supporting her fellow dancers.

Miss Lindsay has a wonderful way of teaching our children the art of dance, while making it fun as well. Without her caring attitude toward the students, I’m not sure my daughter would still be dancing. As a parent I am “the driver” – I get her to her dance classes, I see that she has what she needs, but I am also the very proud mother of a dancer on dance recital nights. . .I watch my daughter beam from ear to ear as she performs for the crowd, proud of what she has accomplished. . .and honestly – there isn’t a better feeling than that!

I couldn’t more highly recommend the Main Street Dance Academy for all the future dancers out there.-Sara Hudson, Princeton

My daughter has been dancing at the Main Street Dance Academy since she was four years old. We have been impressed with the professionalism at the academy and the tremendous job Miss Lindsay does for each dance recital. My daughter never complains and actually ENJOYS going to dance class each week!

Four of my five children have attended MSDA. Performing on stage, practicing a discipline and acquiring memory and good posture are just some of the practical aspects of what they have learned. Besides that, I feel they have felt comfortable in a safe and supportive environment. Also, I saw what my niece pays to take dance in Lincoln, Nebraska and I know what an amazing deal we have here! Finally, two of my children have been assistants and that is a great experience for learning patience and what to expect from young children!
